Modern Store. Vintage Story.

Vintage Story

Sheridan Market is the old-school mom and pop convenience store you’ve seen in the movies. Ed & Bertha Jahoda purchased the property in the 1928 and lived in the adjacent apartment building with their only daughter is Marilyn who still lives in Seattle. Marilyn generously shared with us these photos, spanning from the construction of the market and apartments through the retro 50s and into the 70s!

After Sheridan Market closed its doors in 2017, Paula and Ernesto put their life savings into purchasing the property with the dream of re-establishing the market as both a place for neighbors to connect and a living piece of community history. However, in order to raise the money to keep the building in compliance, they need your help!
