TheJerkels!

The Sheridan Welcomes the JerKels!

For a special Wed show, the JerKels will be playing for your pleasure!

The JerKels formed in 2009, after well-regarded musicians Jerry Battista (guitar and mandolin) and Kelly Van Camp (guitar and harmonica) met when both were members of  the rockabilly/roots rock band The Dusty 45s.

These very talented and fun guys have a combined 70 + years as professional musicians and have been in countless bands of various genres over those years. Jerry is best known as lead guitarist in The Davanos, while Kelly is in too many bands to name, including several Honky Tonk groups and his Beatles band The Flaming Pies.

It's a real treat to hear Kelly and Jerry's acoustic duo! With their incredible chemistry and infectious energy, they work their magic on a vast range of danceable tunes, from many decades, for a guaranteed rollicking good time.

Sky Valley Zydeco!

The Sheridan Market welcomes the newly-formed Zydeco band Sky Valley Zydeco playing Creole/Zydeco-styled Rhythms

Join us on Friday, March 13th at 6:30 PM! Doors open at 5:30!

All of the band members in Sky Valley Zydeco have been teachers and/or band students, and we have seen devastating budget cuts & inequities in public school funding.  So they thought, why not make our 3/13 dance at the Sheridan a fundraiser for Music Aid Northwest?  It's a volunteer-run organization that grants money to music teachers in high-needs WA public schools.  Many of their friends are also teachers/musicians and we think they would be enthusiastic to show up, dance eat and contribute! Help make this fundraiser a success!

This is a Free and All Ages show, and all TIPS to the band will be donated to Music Aid Northwest!

Musicians:

They are Lucy Reuter on triple row accordion and vocals, Tina Morrison on rub board and vocals, with Linda Wilson on guitar, Debo North on bass, and one of two likely suspects on drums.

Lucy and Linda were previous members of Folichon (unfortunately no longer active) and Zydeco Lowdown, and Tina played for years with Captain Leroy and the Zydeco Locals.

They are excited to share their Zydeco-charged sound with dancing & listening friends in our comfy venue!

It's never too late for Mardi Gras!  This is a Free and All Ages show!

Food and beverages available including Ernesto’s famous Adobo!

Sing Low, Indigo!

AGAIN at the Sheridan! Our Free Live Music Friday we present Sing Low, Indigo!

Food and Beverages available including Ernesto’s Famous Chicken and Pork Adobo!

They started with a wish to put a whole lot of good stuff into one package: Hip jazz harmonies, deep grooves, sultry vocals, searching poetry, joyful improv, some of the old, some of the new, and a lot of soul. It’s a recipe that’s served them well!

Eclectic originals, mixed with jazz standards, blues classics, and quirky covers!

Our sultry sound is rooted in the classic jazz trios and vocalists of the 1950s and 60s, updated with modern funky grooves, catchy melodies, and soulful lyrics.

Check out our most recent recording, Such Sweet Recompense (2022), with four original tunes and special guest artist on the B-3 organ and electric piano, Joe Doria.  Our debut album, So Little Has Been Tried (2017), focuses on our original tunes.  It is now available for download on CD Baby, Amazon, and other online retailers. You can stream our albums on Spotify, Pandora, YouTube, and others.  Physical CDs are available at shows.

Catch us live at venues all over Seattle, including The Pink Door, The Musicquarium Lounge at the Triple Door, Perihelion Brewery, and the Sheridan Market.  Check out our calendar page for upcoming shows.  We are also available for private events and house concerts--send an email inquiry to find out more.
